An early stage of today’s Connect to Care program was “Connecting Top to Top: Partnering to Make a Difference.”

Leadership from national animal welfare and veterinary medical associations met to share perspectives, gain insight, and find common ground to advance the health and welfare of companion cats. This important first step established broad-based support for promoting local community relationships, and the first collection of tools were created to develop local shelter-veterinary relationships. This early effort demonstrated our commitment to collaboration and provided the foundation and framework to build partnerships across the US.

“Top to Top” quickly pivoted to become a community-based program with a technology platform that continues to connect through partnering.
